Small Business Online, Ways To Maintain A Strong Business

Regarding paypal fees, It seems to me the solution here is to increase your prices by 2% and don’t disclose it, or to enquire before hand which payment method should be used. One needs to remember that getting paid is of the greatest importance for any small business, so paypal seems a great way to go in this instance.

An increasing number of the work force in large corporations work from home, or have a hot desk, they share with others while they are in the office. This trend is driven by the ever present need to pay the profit hungry shareholders of these often public companies. But is this trend only some thing big business should consider?, or has tele working got a place in todays small business?

If it has, then what would the advantages be for micro business to allow teleworking for it’s infitisimal work force? Here are some reasons why you may wish to consider to allow your staff to work from home or on the road, with only a temporary desk in your office.

• Efficiency - you may have reached the conclusion that your staff employee does not need to be in the office to do their work, book keeping staff for instance, or customer care staff can also work from home. They would save the journey into the office, saving time and money while reducing their carbon footprint.

• Cost-effective - consider how much office space you could reclaim, with that money on rent, furniture, heating and electricity, again reducing carbon emissions. And improve customer service by alowwing your customers to know which member of staff they are dealing with using Photo ID Cards

• Recession-proofing - having smaller over-heads and fixed costs during times of an economic slowdown helps your small business to survive.

• Growth of Business - you could stay for even longer in the same property while your business is growing, with the same above effects, plus extra savings on time, and money by not having to relocate. No to mention the business interruption before, during and after the move.

• Lean and Mean - is not only something that big business needs to worry about, if they could they would run the complete Microsoft, GE, Barclays empires with ten people, in order to highten profits. Ultimately that is the way you run your small business too.

• Enabling disabled workers - this point is often overlooked. We are concerned with not having trained candidates, while highly educated but disabled people sit hat home without adequate work, that seems a great waste to me.

• Its also a good idea to consideer security at the workplace, one way of vastly improving site security at a low outlay is Photo ID Cards
I think it is always important to remember how good it feels to get up in the morning and go to your small business without any real money worries. Unfortunately this is not the reality for many self employed, sole traders and other micro businesses, and that is a shame. Making decisions about how and where your employees work is part of the very process that will get you there in the end.
